About the Artist

I studied Greek History as an undergraduate student at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville and as a graduate student at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. The creation and collection of art has always been my passion. I have explored a variety of media through formal classes and personal experimentation. In 1998, while concentrating on stained glass, I took a course in kiln-worked glass in order to incorporate more texture into my designs, and my focus has remained warm glass ever since.   I have attended workshops at a variety of facilities including the Philadelphia College of Art, the Studio of the Corning Museum of Art, Penland, and the John C. Campbell Folk Art School.  I am an active member of the Orange County Artists Guild and the International Society of Glass Beadmakers.

I live in Hillsborough, North Carolina, with my husband, my beloved cats, and Che the neurotic Chihuahua. My left-brained self works in a public library.
